The role involves classroom and clinical instruction, student evaluation, and participation in program governance. A Master’s in Nursing and PA RN licensure are required or pending within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Current PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the eNLC.
• 2 years experience in clinical area of direct responsibility may be required depending on specialty.
• Two years teaching experience in a school of nursing (preferred).
• Two years of inpatient Med Surg RN experience, plus Behavioral Health (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teaches classroom theory for assigned courses including course development, outlines, syllabi, teaching materials and examinations.
• Provides clinical instruction and supervision in the clinical area to help students connect theory to practice.
• Evaluates student performance in classroom and clinical areas per policy to ensure progression and graduation.
• Contributes to the Faculty Organization and its standing committees as assigned.
• Contributes to annual systematic evaluation activities to improve program quality and maintain accreditation.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
