Job summary

Fortis College in Cincinnati, OH currently seeks a Nursing Instructor to prepare the next generation of nurses. Faculty will implement the approved curriculum, align with program outcomes, and participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement.

They will teach in classroom, clinical, and laboratory settings and support student development. The role requires an accredited nursing education program completion, an active RN license in Ohio or multistate privilege, and an MSN for ASN program

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited professional nursing education program.
Current active, unencumbered RN license in Ohio or multistate privilege to practice in Ohio.
An MSN from an accredited program is required to teach in ASN programs.
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills.
Excellent teaching and classroom management skills
Functional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching responsibilities
Competence in clinical skills in areas of teaching
Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.
Background check and immunizations, CPR and HIPAA certifications as required.
Continuing professional growth documentation required annually.

Responsibilities

Plan learning activities to meet program outcomes based on approved curriculum.
Implement the curriculum according to the College/Campus mission and standards.
Evaluate student progress and participate in program evaluation and improvement.
Engage in personal professional development as required by the department.
