Job summary

Mercy College is seeking a Nursing Faculty member to support student learning in clinical and laboratory settings. The role includes teaching, supervision, evaluation, and advising to help students succeed in health sciences careers.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Nursing (or a BSN with substantial nursing experience), and an active RN license in Iowa, with demonstrated leadership and teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or BSN required, with minimum of three years’ nursing experience.
• Current and valid RN Iowa licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead/train others.
• Demonstrated ability to apply diverse and innovative teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provides teaching, supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences in clinical or lab settings.
• Provides advisement for intellectual and professional development of students.
• Collaborates with faculty, preceptors and clinical agencies to optimize learning opportunities.
• Mentors new or junior faculty as appropriate.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
