Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes while upholding compassionate, evidence-based care.

The role emphasizes medication administration, care coordination, and adherence to infection control standards within an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by state and/or compact.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred.
• Experience in acute care settings or student clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver high-quality care.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects per policy.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
• Document care and changes in patient condition promptly.
