Lanessa Extended Care in Webster is seeking a Nursing Home Cook to join our dining services team. The role focuses on preparing meals for residents, following therapeutic diets, and maintaining food quality and safety.

Weekly pay is provided at $21 per hour, with a schedule that rotates across weeks. The ideal candidate will have prior culinary experience, the ability to work with large quantities, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Leadership ability and willingness to supervise staff.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws/regulations.
• Commitment to sanitation and safety in food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to ensure quality service under the Director of Dining Services.
• Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians.
• Ensure proper serving temperature of food and visual appeal.
• Monitor daily nourishments and follow standardized recipes with proper portions.
• Adhere to sanitation and storage policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
