We are hiring a part-time Cook to join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield! All shifts available. Weekly pay! Working with our team and residents will give you purpose in your professional and personal life.

The primary responsibility of the Cook is to prepare food ensuring quality service under the direction of the Director of Dining Services. Experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred but not necessary; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• Follow therapeutic diets ordered by physicians.
• Ensure proper serving temperature and visual appeal of food.
• Monitor nourishments and follow recipes.
• Maintain sanitation and proper storage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with others.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws/regulations.
• Leadership skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Patience, tact, and enthusiasm for working with residents of varying maturity levels.
