Juniper Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and passionate Full-Time Dietary Cook to join our Dietary Services team in Greensboro, NC.

As a Dietary Cook, you will prepare nutritious meals per physician orders, ensure timely service, follow safety protocols, and work with the Dietary Manager to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain.
• Healthcare, long‑term care, or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to residents' care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals per physician-ordered diets, therapeutic menus, and standardized recipes.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule while maintaining high quality.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and prep areas.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and team to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents.
• Assist with inventory management and notify leadership when supplies need replenishing.
• Comply with all federal, state, local, and facility dietary regulations.

What You'll Do

• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

• Properly store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and compliance

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
