Job summary

The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek, a 198-bed long-term care facility in Alabaster, Alabama, seeks an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to lead daily operations and drive resident outcomes.

Partnering with Pathway Health, Buck Creek values regulatory excellence, staff development, and a compassionate culture. The ideal candidate will have LNHA licensure in AL, 5+ years of senior leadership in LTC, and a proven track record of operational success.

Qualifications

  • Current Alabama LNHA license in good standing or eligible to obtain.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Minimum five years of progressive senior leadership in long-term care.
  • Experience in a unionized environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with residents, families, physicians, employees, referral sources, and community partners.

What You'll Do

As the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, you will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of facility operations, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and employee engagement.

Qualifications
  • Current Alabama Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensure upon hire and relocation.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator or in a progressive senior leadership role within long-term care.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is required.
  • Demonstrated success in regulatory compliance, financial management, quality improvement, census development, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, employees, referral sources, and community partners.
