Job summary

South College Dallas Learning Site, located in Farmers Branch, TX, is conducting a search for a full-time nursing faculty (instructor/assistant professor/associate professor) for the School of Nursing. The program offers LPN, ASN, and BSN.

Position is on-ground with potential cross-program teaching; preference for candidates with pediatric clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required.
• Doctorate preferred.
• BSN will be considered for LPN programming with significant clinical background or prior teaching experience.
• Hold an unrestricted license to practice in Texas or be eligible for licensure in Texas.
• Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Preference for experience in maternal, women's health, or pediatric nursing.
• Evidence of education in teaching and learning principles within first 3 years of employment.
• Teaching experience in secondary instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the classroom, in the laboratory, and in clinical settings.
• Meet South College standards for course syllabi creation and submission, classroom management, use of technology, grade submission, and records management.
• Function as a part of South College and South College School of Nursing faculty group.
• Participate in meetings, projects, recruiting, and committee work.
• Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for engagement of students in the profession of nursing.
• Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising.
• Maintain currency in education and nursing knowledge and application through continuing education activities.
• Contribute to the School of Nursing and South College evaluation processes to measure outcomes.

South College Dallas Learning Site, located in Farmers Branch, TX, is conducting a search for the position of full-time nursing faculty (instructor/assistant professor/associate professor; commensurate with experience) for the South College School of Nursing. South College School of Nursing currently offers an LPN, ASN, and BSN program.

This position is on-ground and may have teaching responsibilities across programs based on experience and background. Preference given to candidates with clinical experience in pediatric nursing.
