Job summary

SOWELA in Lake Charles, LA invites applications for a Faculty Nurse Educator. The role focuses on teaching in the School of Nursing & Allied Health with emphasis on evidence-based materials and NCLEX alignment.

The instructor will deliver courses, manage assessments, and coordinate with the Dean and Program Coordinator to ensure quality student outcomes. The position requires a Master's in Nursing, an active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state, and eligibility for LSBN faculty

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Louisiana or Compact state.
• Meet faculty qualifications through LSBN and clinical agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course content clearly to individuals and groups.
• Administer and grade exams and assignments.
• Maintain and update course materials annually or as needed.
• Utilize Canvas LMS to post materials, assignments, and grades.
• Ensure course materials meet NCLEX standards and NCLEX changes.
