Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Miramar, FL, invites applications for a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty position in Med/Surg. This full-time role supports the development and evaluation of clinical instruction using current teaching methodologies and technologies.

The successful candidate will have an MSN, at least two years of medical/surgical nursing experience, an active FL RN license (or compact state), and prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ medical/surgical nursing experience within the last two years.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Florida or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of professional involvement (membership, presentations, publications).

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in the clinical and lab context.
• Collaborates with content-area faculty for evaluation and documentation of student progress.
• Participates in grading written and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and director and attends select faculty meetings.

In this role you will provide indirect and direct support in the development and provision of clinical instruction and student evaluation incorporating current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual’s teaching assignment.
