Job summary

South Texas College seeks a full-time nursing faculty member to deliver quality instruction and support student success. Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing (or equivalent) with 18 graduate hours in Nursing, and possess or be eligible for the Texas RN license.

The role includes teaching, curriculum development, and service duties across college programs. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, organization, and instructional skills, with a commitment to the community

Qualifications

• Must possess appropriate academic preparation.
• Provide official transcripts; if from a foreign institution, an evaluation is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and commitment to education.
• Adheres to the community college philosophy of education.

Responsibilities

• Mastery of subject matter with current currency in the field.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Employ teaching strategies that promote student engagement.
• Evaluate student learning and return work promptly for feedback.
• Maintain regular office hours and submit syllabi for assigned sections.
• Participate in college and program activities and committees.
