Job summary

Brenau University in Gainesville, GA seeks a Nursing Faculty member to teach designated courses and supervise students in clinical practice. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty position with responsibility for developing educational materials aligned to university and Georgia Board of Nursing standards.

The role reports to the chair of the respective department and the MIGSON director, with opportunities to participate in accreditation activities and committee work.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and a related field (or doctoral degree in nursing) required.
• Minimum of one year nursing program teaching experience (2+ years preferred).
• Current Georgia nursing license in good standing with Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Excellent credentials in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with course faculty to develop nursing courses.
• Accurately document student progress and achievement within specific courses and/or clinical assignments.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop, support, and implement university/department mission statements and accreditation standards.
• Accept responsibility for assignments as delegated; maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Attend School of Nursing Faculty Organization meetings and participate in related activities.
• Collaborate with course coordinators to determine resources needed.
• Evaluate courses and curricula; participate in accreditation activities.
• Serve on Brenau University and School of Nursing committees; develop educational materials aligned with standards.
• Attend official university events to support faculty and students; may require evening/weekend work.
