Job summary
Crowder College in Neosho, MO, invites applications for a full-time Nursing Faculty position to support the Nursing program and curriculum development. Responsibilities include teaching, student advisement, and service to the college and community.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing with clinical experience; Master’s degree preferred; active MO nursing license; and ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing with a clinical component.
- Current active licensure to practice professional nursing in Missouri that has never been disciplined.
- Two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years in clinical practice/administration or nursing education.
- Participation in professional nursing and/or educational/vocational organizations.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff, and the public.
Responsibilities
- Teach 30 credits hours per academic year as a regular load.
- Provide student academic advisement, assisting with understanding program requirements, course selection and policies.
- Develop and distribute course syllabi based on institutional syllabi in conjunction with other nursing faculty.
- Maintain grades in the learning management system and return evaluated work timely.
- Recruitment of students for Crowder College and the nursing program.
- Participation in nursing faculty meetings, faculty committees, and college activities.
