Job summary

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain Connecticut licensure before beginning employment.
• Professional nursing experience that supports teaching in adult health or medical-surgical nursing.
• Experience teaching, precepting, mentoring, or evaluating nursing students or practicing nurses.
• Experience with laboratory, simulation, or clinical education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in adult health and medical-surgical nursing across didactic, lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Use evidence-based and inclusive teaching to promote clinical judgment, safe practice, professional identity, and outcomes.
• Integrate NCLEX-NCLEX Next Gen clinical-judgment concepts and active-learning strategies.
• Evaluate student learning and clinical performance with rigorous assessment methods.
• Provide timely feedback, academic advising, and remediation to support progression and development.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous-improvement processes.
• Contribute to accreditation documentation and professional service.
