Job summary

Pitt Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Nursing to plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom, lab, and clinical instruction under the Director of Nursing.

The candidate must hold an NC RN license, a BSN, and complete a Post-Master Teaching and Learning Certificate within three years; an MSN in Nursing Education is preferred and teaching experience is valued. This role also involves online and on-site instruction, with adherence to FERPA/HIPAA and college policies.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in NC
• BSN from regionally accredited college or university
• Post-Master Teaching and Learning Certificate from NCBON program within three years
• MSN with Nursing Education concentration preferred
• Two years of full-time direct patient care
• Teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
• Prepare syllabi and instructional plans aligned to course objectives.
• Maintain labs and order supplies as needed.
• Provide timely feedback and grading to students.
• Support online learning with synchronous and/or asynchronous activities.
• Ensure compliance with FERPA and HIPAA and college policies.
• Attend in-service trainings and professional development opportunities.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality.
