Job summary

Fresno Pacific University’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies invites applications for an adjunct nursing educator to teach undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses. The role supports BSN and MSN programs with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus and emphasizes Christ-centered service to underserved communities.

The candidate will teach courses, discuss progress with the program coordinator, and collaborate with faculty while aligning with FPU’s faith-based mission and ideals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing (or related graduate degree) is required.
• Minimum 1 year RN clinical experience within the last 5 years in the teaching area.
• One academic year of RN level clinical teaching experience.
• Active, unencumbered California RN license; PHN certificate is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty in a collegial environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as described and assigned in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs.
• Discuss class progress with the program coordinator, including teaching performance through observation.
• Collaborate with other faculty as needed to support student learning.
• Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in a Christ-centered academic context.
