Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Director of Staff Development (DSD) – LVN for Shadelands Post Acute in California. The role is full-time and centers on building a skilled nursing team, coordinating education, and ensuring quality resident care.

The position requires California LVN/LPN or RN licensure with leadership experience in long-term care and a BSN is preferred. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid California LVN/LPN or RN license in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year of direct patient-care experience in a long-term care facility, plus one year of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs.
• Two or more years of experience in staff development or nursing leadership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting and hiring of staff.
• Process employment documentation and payroll/benefits coordination.
• Develop relationships with residents, families and staff.
• Plan and conduct in-service education programs and annual schedule.
• Maintain education records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide direct resident care as needed.
• Coordinate infection control surveillance.
