Job summary

Mercy College is seeking a nursing faculty member for a full-time day shift position. You will teach, supervise and evaluate student learning experiences, while guiding their intellectual and professional development.

The role includes content development, mentoring junior faculty and engaging in scholarly activities to advance the program. Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nursing, have teaching or professional experience, and possess an Iowa nursing license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Two years' experience in academic teaching or professional practice.
• Valid and current Iowa Nursing License.
• Demonstrated ability in managing or training others.
• Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides teaching, supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences.
• Provides advisement and guidance for intellectual and professional development of students.
• Develops and revises course content in a limited subject area.
• Serves as a mentor to new or inexperienced faculty.
• Participates in scholarly activities and quality improvement opportunities.
