Job summary

Alaska Pacific University invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professors of Nursing with demonstrated professional teaching experience and a background in direct clinical services.

The position requires the desire to teach at all levels of nursing education, including practical nursing and associate degree nursing, within a culturally safe curriculum that serves Alaska Native people and rural communities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing (minimum) and Alaska RN licensure preferred.
• Proven teaching experience across nursing programs including practical nursing and associate degree levels.
• Ability to deliver culturally safe curriculum addressing Alaska Native communities and rural areas.
• Evidence of clinical nursing practice or recent clinical involvement.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3–4 courses per semester across nursing content areas.
• Mentor and advise students; participate in curriculum evaluation and outcomes assessment.
• Assist with accreditation standards and program assessment.
• Coordinate clinical nursing experiences in rural villages; travel as needed; course release for coordination.
