Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a Nursing Professional Development leader responsible for orientation, ongoing learning, educational counseling and competency of the Patient Care Services staff at The Valley Hospital and affiliates. This role interfaces with PCS staff and management to design and evaluate programs aligned with system goals.

The position requires NJ RN licensure, a Master's degree, and a National Nursing Certification, with at least five years of clinical and teaching

Qualifications

• RN licensed in New Jersey; Masters degree required.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience and prior experience in teaching the adult learner.
• Must hold National Nursing Certification (any specialty); Magnet recognized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee orientation, continued learning, educational counseling and competency of PCS staff.
• Identify, plan, implement and evaluate educational programs aligned with PCS and Valley Health System goals.
• Collaborate with PCS staff and management to improve education and professional development.
