Job summary

Joyce University in Draper, UT seeks a visionary Assistant Director of Nursing to lead faculty development, ensure high-quality teaching, and strengthen clinical education across programs.

You will own the preceptor model, credentialing, and student placements while collaborating with the Associate Dean of Nursing and Compliance to meet accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. A nursing educator with leadership experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered professional nursing license.
• Doctoral or professional degree in nursing.
• 2–3 years of online and on-ground teaching, curriculum design, and faculty development.
• Strong understanding of nursing education and academic leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, support, and develop faculty.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, students, administrators, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop faculty through onboarding, mentoring, and workload management.
• Oversee faculty hiring and course scheduling.
• Conduct reviews and create individualized professional development plans.
• Plan and participate in faculty development activities.
• Support instructors in achieving course and program outcomes and teaching excellence.
• Partner with the Associate Dean on compliance, accreditation, and regulatory responsibilities.
• Coordinate with Clinical Placement to ensure preceptor documentation is complete.
