Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking a Master’s prepared nurse to join our School of Nursing as a Full-Time Instructor. You will teach in a variety of modalities, provide guidance, and support student learning while ensuring program outcomes and NCLEX readiness.

Minimum qualifications include Minnesota RN licensure, an MSN, and at least 3 years of nursing experience. The role requires strong communication and collaboration with students and faculty, with full-time workload and on-site campus duties

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
• A master’s degree in nursing is required.
• 3 years’ experience as a registered nurse.
• Self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, peers and community partners.
• Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to provide professional licenses and certifications required for specializations and clinical compliance in the state in which you are teaching.
• Must adhere to the school’s policy on faculty immunizations and be able to provide proper documentation.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in courses aligned with qualifications and areas of expertise, assigned by the school.
• Ensure all instructional activities and required contact hours meet policies, accreditation standards, program requirements, and faculty handbook.
• Maintain regularly scheduled weekly office hours to support student learning and address questions.
• Demonstrate instructional presence across modalities in accordance with school policy.
• Support and are accountable for student learning outcomes through curriculum implementation and assessment activities.
• Prepare students for NCLEX throughout the program.
• Full-time faculty are expected to teach a full workload; part-time may teach up to 30 hours/week.
• Participate in professional development, campus meetings, and other designated meetings.
• Attend graduation ceremonies and community events as designated by the Dean.
• Support onboarding of new faculty and other duties as assigned.
