Job summary

Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for an instructional nursing faculty member responsible for delivering classroom instruction and promoting scholarly activity. The role requires a master’s in nursing with state licensure and potential for effective teaching.

The faculty will oversee instructional workloads, provide student advisement, attend meetings and commencements, and participate in accreditation reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required for all CSON Faculty positions.
• Doctorate for teaching in the CSON graduate programs; doctorate in Nursing recommended.
• Current unrestricted Florida licensure and licensure in other states if required for teaching/clinical supervision.
• Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students and to the community.
• Undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual.
• Provide course and classroom conduct as outlined in the Faculty-Staff Policy Manual.
• Provide academic advisement of students.
• Conduct office/conference hours.
• Comply with announced requirements ;
• Provide committee service;
• Attend faculty meetings;
• Attend commencement activities;
• Participate in annual faculty evaluation;
• Completion of required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.
