The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in nursing education or a related medical field, holds an active TX RN license, and has teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing education from an accredited institution.
• Current RN license from TX or compact states.
• Evidence of teaching abilities and safety in the subject area.
• Two years of full‑time clinical RN experience in the teaching field.
• Alternative qualification: Master’s degree in the medical field.
• Minimum of 15 semester credits in related subject areas.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in the required field.
• Flexible hours to include clinical rotations and related commitments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure student safety and maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Prepare daily lesson materials and ensure students have necessary equipment.
• Deliver instruction with hands‑on training and lab activities.
• Organize labs/projects and ensure materials and equipment are ready.
• Identify at‑risk students and coordinate tutoring with the Program Director and Student Services.
• Pursue in‑field professional certification (CEHs) annually and improve teaching skills.
• Maintain attendance records and document student progress regularly.
• Manage classroom behavior and resolve conflicts while enforcing school policies.
• Keep curriculum, performance standards, competencies, and tests current with industry needs.
• Assist in organizing field trips and supervise lab cleanup; complete grading within three workdays.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
