Job summary

Kettering Health, at the Main Campus in Kettering, OH, is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS). This full-time, 8-hour shift varied position focuses on education, mentorship, and leadership to advance nursing practice and outcomes.

The NPDS will guide orientation, support lifelong learning, and collaborate with leadership to implement education programs. Required RN license in Ohio, BSN, and a nursing-related master's degree within four years are emphasized.

Qualifications

Licensed in Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
BSN required; MSN or equivalent preferred within four years of hire.
Certification in specialty area preferred.
BLS certification required.
Minimum of three years of clinical RN experience.

Responsibilities

Act as educator, career coach, mentor and leader for nursing staff.
Develop and guide orientation and ongoing education for employees.
Serve as a resource to leadership for education programs and outcomes evaluation.
Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing professional development practice.
Support delivery of nursing care aligned with the organization’s missions and values.
