- (3262034)This role is an essential leadership position within the hospital organization. It encompasses oversight and management for safe, high-quality, patient-focused care, personnel management and development, clinical operations, and the development of highly effective partnerships throughout the Department of Nursing and across all teams and organizational departments.
White 10 is a 20-bed acute care medical unit with telemetry capability. Many patients admitted to this unit have multi-system complexities, including alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, and mental states, and often transfer from the Intensive Care Unit.

Reporting to an Associate Chief Nurse, the Nurse Director provides leadership in an environment that celebrates and empowers nurses. In collaboration with a Clinical Nurse Specialist, to hire, develop, and provide direction to patient care providers and unlicensed clinical support staff. The ND partners with nurses, physicians, administrative colleagues, and other teams to guide and direct clinical practice, systems improvement, network development, and operations. Negotiates and plans for interdepartmental resources with other department leaders to ensure the best level of services to direct care providers and ultimately, patients. Promotes professionalism and autonomy by engaging staff in planning, decision-making, and the many educational resources available for further development.
