Job summary

OU Health’s Oklahoma Children’s Hospital seeks a Director of Nursing to lead Nursing Administration for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and specialty programs. You will oversee inpatient and ambulatory services, ensuring excellence in patient care, safety, and outcomes across the continuum.

You’ll drive workforce development, quality improvement and budget management while partnering with physicians and leaders to advance the hospital’s specialized pediatric programs and translational care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Master's in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or relevant field is required.
  • 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for clinical care and departmental performance and metrics.
  • Supports strategic initiatives and quality improvement in patient care.
  • Develops and updates performance improvement tools, reports, and quality statistics.
  • Resolves patient complaints in collaboration with staff.
  • Establishes and enforces policies and procedures and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Manages department budget and resources and understands financial processes.
  • Leads with OU Health values and serves as a role model for staff.
  • Represents the OU Health nursing body with senior leadership.
  • Serves as a resource for physicians and staff.
  • Fosters an inclusive workforce and maximizes individual differences.
  • Uses coaching, feedback and training to develop the team.
