Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Director of Nursing to provide executive leadership for a service line, guiding two or more cost centers and a team of nurse managers. This role reports to the CNO and champions safe, high-quality care through transformation leadership and data-informed decision making.

Responsibilities include budget stewardship under 80 million, partnership with physicians and staff, fostering shared governance, and advancing evidence-based practice to meet licensure

Qualifications

• RN with licensure as a registered nurse and minimum five years of progressive operational leadership.
• Experience managing department-level budgets and metrics is strongly preferred.
• Ability to lead through transformation, apply lean and evidence-based practice, and promote shared governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of a nursing service line for two or more cost centers.
• Partner with nursing leadership, physicians, and staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.
• Develop and mentor nurse managers and staff to achieve performance targets and pillar goals.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards across the unit.
