Job summary

Allure of Walnut is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest level of care for our residents. The DON will oversee clinical operations, support nursing staff, and promote a culture of excellence in resident-centered care.

This role requires an Illinois RN license, at least 5 years in long-term care or post-acute rehab, and prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in Illinois required.
• Minimum 5 years in long-term care or post-acute rehab.
• Prior leadership/management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing team to deliver exceptional resident care.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies and clinical programs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and survey readiness.
• Monitor quality indicators and drive improvement.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and department operations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless resident care.
• Support staff education and professional development.
• Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and open communication.
• Participate in budgeting and financial oversight.
