Job summary

Adena Health System is seeking a Director of Nursing in Greenfield, OH. This role provides 24-hour leadership for patient care departments and allied services, guiding managers and staff to deliver high-quality nursing practice aligned with the health system’s mission.

You will develop and implement strategic and operational plans, optimize resources, and oversee safety and quality control while fostering collaboration across departments and expanding professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required; current employees must obtain within 24 months of hire.
• Major/Area of Concentration: Nursing, Business.
• Preferred Education: MSN, MHA, MBA or other related post graduate degree.

Responsibilities

• The Director Nursing has 24-hour responsibility for the operations of patient care departments and other assigned services.
• Leads a team of managers and specialists for multiple units and/or prompts in establishing an environment that supports professional nursing practice.
• Determines vision and direction for the departments; develops strategic/operational plans and evaluates them.
• Oversees staffing, space management, and outside services when necessary; ensures patient safety and quality control.
