Job summary

Adept Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and uphold the highest standards of resident care in Nebraska.

The DON will plan, organize, and direct the nursing department, supervise staff, and liaise with residents and families to meet care needs, while ensuring compliance with state regulations and long-term care guidelines. Nebraska RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Nebraska.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a DON in a long-term care setting.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in nursing management.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct overall nursing department operations
• Provide administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to plan for resident needs
• Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and long-term care guidelines
• Oversee state reporting and implement plans of correction
• Uphold company policies including compliance and harassment procedures
• Maintain integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role
