Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and licensed by the State.
• Must have related experience to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to work long or irregular hours, often under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Administrator and facility staff to plan, coordinate, and oversee nursing services.
• Establishes priorities, assigns tasks, monitors activities, and coaches staff as needed.
• Maintains departmental records, manages budgets and supplies, and acts as senior department head.
• Ensures compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Oversees admissions, transfers, and resident assessments, and participates in care delivery when necessary.
• Develops and maintains relationships with regulators, residents’ families, and the community.
