Tennova Healthcare- Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking an RN Director to lead the Clinical Decision Unit, House Supervisors, Telemetry Monitoring Unit, Float Pool, and Transport teams. The role focuses on strategic direction, operations, and staff development to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

The Director oversees budgeting, staffing, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to optimize outcomes and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of direct nursing leadership experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees medical-surgical operations and department leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manages budgets, staffing, and resources to maintain financial efficiency and meet care demands.
• Monitors KPIs and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with clinicians and leadership to coordinate patient care across the continuum.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and participates in audits and accreditation processes.
• Maintains leadership presence, supports staff development, and promotes a positive work environment.
