Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners seeks an experienced Director of Nursing for the St. Francis Ambulatory Surgery Center in Midlothian, VA. You will lead the nursing and clinical teams across orthopedics, ENT, spine, and podiatry procedures in a two-OR, one-procedure-room setting, ensuring safe, efficient care.

The DON role is full-time and exempt, reporting closely with the center CEO and Compass leadership. Requires RN licensure with BLS/ACLS, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2+ years nursing

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS and ACLS.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of nursing leadership, preferably in outpatient surgery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage nursing and clinical teams.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supply management.
• Collaborate with physicians and administration to support center goals.
• Serve as administrative leader in the Administrator’s absence.
