Job summary

The Waters of Wakarusa is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services and therapy within the facility. The DON has authority over nursing staff, ensures 24/7 resident care, and upholds regulatory standards under the Administrator's supervision.

Qualified candidates must hold a current RN license, have at least 2 years of nursing administration experience in skilled nursing, and possess strong knowledge of applicable regulations to maintain compliant resident care operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in good standing in the state of facility.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing service administration and leadership in skilled nursing.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing services staff and training 24/7.
• Supervise the Therapy Department and its functions within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and established policies and procedures.
