Qualifications

• Master's Degree must be obtained within six months of employment.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Behavioral Health management is necessary.

Overview

A Nursing Director of Behavioral Health is needed in West Palm Beach, FL, to lead a 124-bed behavioral health unit within a 280-bed acute care hospital.

Responsibilities

The Director holds full accountability for the daily operations, quality improvement initiatives, fiscal performance, and productivity of the behavioral health department. This leader plans, organizes, and directs the delivery of patient care across the unit while serving as a primary liaison between patients and their representatives, physicians, and staff. The Director is responsible for staff performance management and ensuring all departmental activities align with safety, regulatory, and policy requirements. A strong focus on resource utilization — maximizing productivity while managing costs — is central to this position.
