South University seeks an instructor to teach and facilitate meaningful learning in Nursing-related courses, both on campus in Virginia and online. The role emphasizes alignment with the university model, development of instructional plans, and use of technology to enhance the student learning experience.

The candidate should have a PhD in a relevant field, plus an unencumbered RN license, and 0–2 years of instructional experience.

• PhD in a field related to the classes to be taught.
• Unencumbered RN nursing License.
• 0–2 years’ experience in instruction or formalized education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build relationships with students.
• Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.
• Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing).
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to develop professional rapport with diverse campus constituents.
• Ability to learn from student participation and maintain professional ethics.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the educational process to ensure every student is involved in a positive educational experience.
• Perform faculty responsibilities as outlined in the faculty job description.
• Provide course instruction aligned with the university model and curricula.
• Design instructional plans to meet course outcomes and develop activities for online courses.
• Effectively utilize technology in the classroom to support learning.
• Enable achievement of outcomes and evaluate student performance against criteria.
• Deliver learning-centered instruction and plan for student success.
• Promote student success with flexible teaching styles and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades on time, and enforce policies.
• Relate professional experience to learning and stay aware of industry trends.
• Participate in faculty development to enhance teaching skills.
• Communicate consistently with supervisors, faculty, and administrators.
• Contribute to curriculum/system tasks and support campus events and workshops.
