Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree when only performing clinical rotations; Master’s degree required to teach didactic coursework.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within the past five years with evidence of clinical competence.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines; flexible schedule including evenings and travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises care provided by a group of students during their clinical rotation.
• Coordinates with clinicians at the clinical site to assign student patients.
• Instructs students on how to perform duties in the clinical site and answers their questions.
• Evaluates students’ clinical work.
• Ensures student behavior follows program handbook and instructor guidelines.
• Uses clinical and program forms; communicates with lead instructor weekly.
• Reports student absences and incidents to appropriate supervisors within required timelines.
• Establishes contact with site Education Coordinator or manager for orientation and scheduling.
• Plans for observational experiences aligned with theory and facility policy.
• Completes and forwards signed student evaluations before the end of rotation.
• Fulfills compliance training and submits updated curricula vitae for annual review.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
