A leading educational institution is seeking a Nursing Instructor to teach in a clinical/lab environment. Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Registered Nursing, a valid Georgia RN license, and experience in nursing and education. This role offers flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends, and focuses on providing excellent instruction to a diverse student body.
Nature of Duties: Teaches nursing courses in a clinical/lab environment; maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in practical applications of nursing in the clinical setting and skills lab; Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports required for clinical; ensures safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area; meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ progress. Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population. Position may require committee and project assignments or other duties as assigned as well as day, evening, and weekend clinicals and activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution and demonstrated competence/experience in the teaching discipline.
· Valid Georgia RN license and current BLS (CPR) Certification from the American Heart Association
· Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in the past 7 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution.
· Teaching experience in postsecondary education.
· Recent teaching experience.
Salary/Benefits: $32.00 per hour
