Job summary

The University of Saint Joseph invites qualified applicants to serve as adjunct faculty within the Nursing Department. The department is actively recruiting several adjuncts for the Fall semester for faculty to teach in all clinical Undergraduate Nursing Courses.

Responsibilities include teaching at clinical sites, grading assignments in a timely manner, attending program meetings, and using technology to enhance teaching.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing or related field when teaching undergraduate courses.
• Prior teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Commitment to the mission of the University of Saint Joseph.
• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Teach students at assigned clinical sites.
• Grade all student assignments in a timely manner with constructive feedback.
• Attend program/department meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate knowledge of current methods for teaching college-level courses.
• Learn and utilize technology offered at USJ to facilitate teaching.
• Meet all designated class periods in the semester as per calendar.
• Submit mid-semester and final grades to the Registrar; maintain course records.
