Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup in the nursing center. You will maintain a sanitary dining room and ensure timely meal delivery to residents.

The role involves assisting in food preparation, following production sheets, and helping with tray lines and dishwashing. High school diploma or equivalent is required; one year in a large-scale cooking operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of work in a large-scale cooking operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as directed by supervisor.
• Assist cooks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non-entree foods; pour beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guidelines.
• Complete pre-preparation such as washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits; slice meat and measure portions for menu compliance.
• Follow cleaning schedule; clean equipment and work area; sweep and mop floors; take trash to dumpster; wash pots and pans.
• Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
• Wash dishes and silverware; put away; assist with cleaning of equipment and kitchen.
• Assist in preparation of food items and tray lines; set up before meal service; break down area and clean after serving.
