Job summary

Stark State College is seeking a Healthcare Career Specialist to bridge education and career pathways in nursing. The role guides students through resources, identifies barriers, and collaborates with Nursing faculty, the NEOWIN project team, and Career Services to support progression toward nursing education and employment.

This temporary, federal grant-funded position ends June 30, 2028. The successful candidate will engage with industry events, job fairs, and community meetings to promote

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Nursing, Business, Human Resources, Psychology, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
• A passion for student success.

Responsibilities

• Networking to develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital employers and industry partners.
• Coordinating with Career Services and other college departments to provide career-readiness resources (resume development, interview prep, job-search assistance, career counseling, employer events).
• Recruiting, advising, and directing students toward entry points into the nursing field.
• Identifying and addressing barriers to students' educational and career pathways.
• Reporting to the grant project director and team and tracking progress toward milestones.
