Job summary

BronxCare Health System seeks an experienced nursing professional to assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating patient care on a shift within a unit. The role emphasizes supervision of nursing activities, adherence to hospital standards, and collaboration with the Nurse Manager to maintain quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of nursing experience, demonstrate leadership, and hold an NYS RN license with a BSN (or related field).

Qualifications

• Two (2) years nursing experience preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Qualified with NYS RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, visitors and staff.
• Assist in coordinating nursing care on a shift within a unit.
• Participate in performance/improvement activities and CQI teams.
• Assist staff in implementing and evaluating the nursing regimen.
• Verify equipment safety, assess supply use and manage resources.
• Provide feedback and coaching to staff in consultation with the Nurse Manager.
