Job summary

The Sharon at SouthPark in Charlotte, NC is seeking candidates for a yearlong CNA Apprenticeship program. The apprentice will study at Central Piedmont’s Campus to gain NC Certified Nurse Assistant, Medication Aide, and DOL certificates while shadowing CNA trainers.

The program runs for one full year of on-the-job learning hours, with hands-on training under Nurse Mentors in the healthcare department.

Qualifications

The Sharon at SouthPark, a leading healthcare provider in Charlotte, NC is seeking talented individual to join our yearlong C.N.A. Apprenticeship program.

This exciting new yearlong program offers the apprentice the opportunity to “earn while you learn,” equipping you with both the academic foundation and the real-world expertise needed for long-term success in the healthcare field.

Once accepted into The Sharon at SouthPark Certified Nurse Apprenticeship Program, the apprentice will take classes at Central Piedmont’s Campus, to gain the North Carolina Certified Nurse Certificate, the Medication Aide Certificate and the nationally recognized Certificate of training from The United States Department of Labor. Simultaneously the apprentice will also be working at The Sharon shadowing the C.N.A trainers and gaining valuable hands-on training, while being mentored by the Nurse Mentors in the healthcare department. The term of the apprentice is one full year of OJL training and 160 classroom hours.

Your day to day as a CNA Apprentice (Certified Nurse Assistant)

As a CNA Apprentice at The Sharon at SouthPark, your day-today responsibilities will involve providing compassionate and personalized care to our residents. You will assist them with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Additionally, you will monitor vital signs and document any changes in residents’ health or behavior. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each resident’s unique needs. You will also provide emotional support and engage residents in stimulating activities to promote their well-being.

Requirements for Apprenticeship CNA
