Job summary

University Health in San Antonio is seeking a nursing assistant to perform routine nursing duties and support patient comfort and welfare. You will assist in the efficient completion of assignments while maintaining professional standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or higher, possess a current BLS/healthcare provider card, and have relevant nursing aide training or externship experience. Certification or recent nurse attendant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and healthcare provider card.
• Completion of recognized nurse aide training program with three months in clinical studies preferred.
• Nurse aide certification with recent nurse attendant experience preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree is required. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and healthcare provider card. Completion of recognized nurse aide training program with three months in clinical studies is preferred; or, can be a Medical Assistant graduate that has completed an externship within University Health System. Nurse aide certification with recent nurse attendant experience is preferred.
