Nursing Attendant I - Float Pool - Allen Hospital - Full Time Night Shift

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Allen Hospital, certified nurse aides thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. We serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with nurses, ICU technicians, and others. Monitor blood pressure and temperature, ensure the delivery of meals, and assist with safe patient transport. Bring your smile to work and infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day, providing comfort and caring as a certified nurse aide at NYP, helping our fast-paced environments run smoothly.

Provide compassionate patient-focused care and perform select duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience, maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care.

The shift for this position is from 11:00 am to 7:00 am, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria
  • At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting
Required Criteria
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Must meet one of the following: previous nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program
