Nursing Attendant – 4W - Med Surg/Ortho/Tele - Full Time – Nights, Weekends and Holidays

Bring your smile to work, infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day, and provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP, ensuring our fast-paced environments run smoothly.

Provide compassionate, patient-focused care and perform select duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience, maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment, and ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport. Measure, monitor, and record vital signs such as temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures. Demonstrate teamwork and raise the bar for patient care.

This is a full-time night position from 11PM to 7AM (36.25 hours/week) at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens location.

Every weekend required for the first 2 years of employment.

Required Criteria:

• Previous nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aide training program; or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or having completed at least one clinical practicum.
• BLS certification from AHA
• HS Diploma/GED
• Ability to complete mandatory 2-week orientation (Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM) upon hire.
