Description

Nursing Attendant – Full Time Evening - 2 North - Med Surg/Cardiac

At NewYork-Presbyterian, certified nurse’s aides play a vital role at the bedside, providing compassionate care and serving as key contacts for patients and families. Collaborate with nurses, ICU technicians, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with meals, and ensuring safe patient transport. Bring energy and hospitality to enhance patient experiences and maintain smooth operations.

Provide compassionate patient-focused care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to high-quality patient care.

This is a full-time evening position (36.25 hours/week; 3PM - 11PM) at NYP/Queens Hospital. Every weekend is required for the first two years of employment.

Required Criteria

• At least 2 years of nurse attendant experience, completion of a certified Nursing Attendant training program, or current enrollment in a Nursing School program.
• CPR/BLS certification from AHA.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete mandatory 2-week orientation (Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4PM) upon hire.
