Job description

Provides direct patient care services, including assisting patients with activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, ambulating, and eliminating. Responsible for obtaining and documenting vital signs and specimens as required.

The Nursing Attendant is a vital team member dedicated to delivering high-quality care and services to patients. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication (e.g., answering phones); transporting patients; and assisting visitors. As part of the team, the Nursing Attendant promotes patient-focused care within the unit.

Education, Training & Experience

• High School Graduate or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Graduate of a State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
